NEOPRENE (Chloroprene Rubber) Product Overview
NEOPRENE is a versatile synthetic rubber introduced in the early 20th century and validated through decades of use in thousands of industrial applications.
Originally developed to overcome natural rubber’s poor oil resistance, its unique property balance keeps it widely used worldwide.
Excellent oil & chemical resistance: Highly resistant to waxes, fats, lubricants, and most petroleum products
Good resistance to alkalis and diluted acids/salts
Strong weathering & ozone resistance: Long-term UV and aging durability
Water resistance & burial stability: No corrosion or degradation during long-term immersion or underground use
Stable mechanical strength: Excellent bending, twisting, and compression-set resistance
High-temperature: Continuous 80–95°C, intermittent up to 120°C
Will not melt but may harden or lose elasticity if overheated
Low-temperature: Functions at –20°C to –25°C; special grades usable at –55°C
