NEOPRENE is a versatile synthetic rubber introduced in the early 20th century and validated through decades of industrial use.
Developed to overcome natural rubber’s limitations—especially in oil resistance—it remains widely used across global industries due to its unique property balance.
Excellent oil & chemical resistance: Highly resistant to waxes, fats, lubricants, and most petroleum products
Good resistance to alkalis and diluted acids/salts
Weathering & ozone resistance: Long-term UV and aging stability with proper formulation
Water resistance & burial stability: Does not corrode or degrade in long-term immersion or underground conditions
Stable mechanical strength: Good bending, twisting, and compression-set resistance
High-temperature: Continuous 80–95°C, intermittent up to 120°C
Does not melt at high heat; excessive temperature may cause hardening or loss of elasticity
Low-temperature: Usable at –20°C to –25°C with minor property changes
Special grades function in –55°C extreme cold
