Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM)
Product Overview — NORDEL™ EPDM
Dow’s NORDEL™ EPDM is one of the most widely used EPDM materials on the market.
Produced via solution polymerization using Dow’s advanced AMC catalyst technology, with ethylidene norbornene (ENB) as the third monomer to deliver excellent physical properties.
Key Characteristics
Excellent resistance to heat, ozone, UV, and water
Available in bales, free-flowing pellets, and cylindrical forms
Packaging materials can be directly compounded or recycled
Advantages
Comprehensive grade range:
Various ENB contents, from ultra-fast to very low cure-speed grades
Wide Mooney viscosity range, from easy-processing low Mooney to high Mooney and high-extensibility grades
Broadest ethylene content range in the industry:
Low ethylene: excellent flexibility and low-temperature performance
High ethylene: high green strength and superior tensile strength after vulcanization
Market & technical support: strong application development and professional technical services
Flexible supply: spot availability and full-container shipments
Features: Mooney 85, ethylene content 68%, ENB 4.9%; high viscosity and high strength.
Applications: Weather-resistant sealing profiles and extruded products.
