Product Description

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM)
Product Overview — NORDEL™ EPDM

Dow’s NORDEL™ EPDM is one of the most widely used EPDM materials in the market.
It is produced via solution polymerization using Dow’s advanced AMC catalyst technology, with ethylidene norbornene (ENB) as the third monomer to provide excellent physical performance.

Key Characteristics

  • Excellent resistance to heat, ozone, UV, and water

  • Available in multiple forms: bales, free-flowing pellets, and cylindrical shapes

  • Packaging materials can be directly compounded or recycled

Advantages

  • Comprehensive grade portfolio:

    • Wide ENB content range, from ultra-fast to very low cure-speed grades

    • Broad Mooney viscosity range, from easy-processing low Mooney to high Mooney and high-extensibility grades

    • Widest ethylene content range in the industry:

      • Low ethylene: excellent flexibility and low-temperature performance

      • High ethylene: high green strength and superior tensile strength after vulcanization

  • Market & technical support: professional application development and technical services

  • Flexible supply: available in spot or full-container shipments
