LyondellBasell Alcryn® MPR™ 

ALCRYN is the only true Melt Processible Rubber (MPR™), offering exceptional mechanical and physical performance for a wide range of consumer and industrial applications.

The Alcryn series is divided into two groups:

  • 2000 Series – Injection and extrusion grades meeting U.S. food-contact and automotive standards.

  • 2100 Series – Overmolding grades with excellent adhesion to PC, ABS, PC/ABS alloys, SAN, ASA, TPE, TPU, and PVC, also meeting U.S. food-contact and automotive requirements.

Hardness ranges from Shore A 47–90, available in natural, black, transparent, and translucent colors.

Models: 1000 / 3000 / 4600 / 2200 / 2100 / 2200 / 2300

Features

  • Processing: Extrusion, precision extrusion, injection molding; some grades suitable for calendering and blow molding

  • Adhesion: Bonds to PVC, PC, ABS, PC/ABS, ASA

  • Flame retardancy: Some grades meet UL V-0

  • FDA compliance: Select grades compliant

  • Oil resistance: Excellent (E)

  • Fuel resistance: Good (G)

  • Toughness: Excellent (E)

  • Heat resistance: Up to 115 °C

  • Low-temperature brittleness: –40 °C to –90 °C (varies by grade)

  • Colors: Black (B), Natural (N), Transparent (T), Clear (C)

  • Hardness: Shore A 45–95

Applications

  • Extruded products: Automotive seals, architectural gaskets

  • Injection-molded products: Sports protective gear, eyewear frames, watch straps

  • Co-molding with engineering plastics: PC/ABS and others for automotive or industrial parts

  • Ideal for industrial products requiring high oil and fuel resistance
