Vamac®, developed by DuPont (now Chemours/DuPont Specialty Materials), is an ethylene–acrylic elastomer containing small amounts of cure-site monomers.
It provides outstanding heat, oil, and chemical resistance, making it widely used in automotive and industrial sealing applications.
Heat Resistance: Continuous 150–175 °C; short-term up to 200 °C
Oil & Chemical Resistance: Excellent resistance to fuels, lubricants, diesel, ATF, etc.
Ozone & Weather Resistance: Stable performance under harsh environments
Mechanical Properties: Good elasticity and low compression set
Processability: Compatible with standard rubber mixing and curing (compression, injection, extrusion)
Electrical Properties: Provides suitable insulation for wire and cable applications
