Vamac®, developed by DuPont (now Chemours/DuPont Specialty Materials), is an ethylene–acrylic elastomer (AEM) containing small amounts of cure-site monomers.
It delivers excellent heat, oil, and chemical resistance, making it widely used in automotive and industrial sealing applications.
Heat Resistance: Long-term 150–175 °C; short-term up to 200 °C
Oil & Chemical Resistance: Strong resistance to gasoline, diesel, lubricants, ATF, etc.
Ozone & Weather Resistance: Stable performance in harsh environments
Mechanical Properties: Good elasticity and low compression set
Processability: Suitable for standard rubber mixing and curing (compression, injection, extrusion)
Electrical Properties: Provides insulation for wire and cable applications
