Vamac®, developed by DuPont (now Chemours/DuPont Specialty Materials), is an ethylene–acrylic elastomer containing cure-site monomers.
It provides excellent heat, oil, and chemical resistance, making it widely used in automotive and industrial sealing applications.
Heat Resistance: Long-term 150–175 °C; short-term up to 200 °C
Oil & Chemical Resistance: Excellent resistance to gasoline, diesel, lubricants, ATF
Ozone & Weather Resistance: Reliable performance under harsh outdoor conditions
Mechanical Properties: Good elasticity with low compression set
Processability: Compatible with conventional rubber mixing and curing (compression, injection, extrusion)
Electrical Properties: Provides suitable insulation for wire and cable applications
