ELVALOY AC® Acrylate Copolymer
ELVALOY AC® is Dow’s family of ethylene copolymers, classified by comonomer type:
EMA: Ethylene–methyl acrylate
EEA: Ethylene–ethyl acrylate
EBA: Ethylene–butyl acrylate
High heat resistance: Processing temperatures up to 300 °C
Excellent compatibility: Contains polar and non-polar functionalities, compatible with many polymers; suitable for high-frequency welding
Higher melting point: Suitable for high-temperature end-use applications
Good flexibility: Remains flexible at low temperatures without plasticizers
Outstanding processability: Good colorability and filler acceptance; can be overmolded onto PC, PE, PP, PS, PA, PET, PMMA, ABS, and metals
Regulatory compliance: Selected grades are FDA-approved
Versatile processing: Applicable to injection molding, extrusion, blending, rotational molding, etc.
Consumer products: Injection/blow-molded toys, ice trays, soft-touch handles
